RES was the brainchild of R. Jeffrey Kinch, now Chairman and Owner.  After having completed a tour of duty with the British Army, Mr. Kinch amassed two years of experience with Emtage Electrical and followed his entrepreneurial calling and Refrigeration & Electrical Services Ltd. was established on 1 February 1970.

RES was first located at Cummins Road, Brittons Hill, St. Michael.  The business later moved to Fontabelle in 1972, and later to Millet House.  The business is now located at Carter House, Dalkeith Road, St. Michael, across the car park from Millet House.

The Company was the first company of its kind in Barbados to introduce split air-conditioning systems to the island.  Today, we are known for our quality brands and the service provided to many of the leading businesses on the island.  We are the agents for Fujitsu General and Miller air conditioning systems.  We are also the agent for the Taylor brand of soft-serve ice cream equipment and products.

Focusing now less on the refrigeration repair and maintenance and more on providing air conditioning solutions, the company name “A One Air Conditioning” is used in conjunction with the RES logo.
